The setting
Our Short Breaks Centre is situated in a large country house set in six acres of grounds, surrounded by trees, grass and flowers. It offers high standards of accommodation and care in a peaceful and secure family atmosphere – one of our key aims is to provide a ‘home from home’ for people who come to stay.

We have seven fully furnished single bedrooms, each with its own wash hand basin and two with en-suite toilets. Two of the bedrooms are suitable for those with greater physical disabilities. There is a choice of bath or shower facilities, and towels are provided.

There is a comfortable lounge with TV, DVD and a CD player, as well as a separate dining room. Meals are prepared and cooked in the kitchen, and likes, dislikes and special dietary requirements are all taken into consideration. In the summer meals are sometimes eaten on the patio, with the option of a barbeque when the weather is good enough.

We have our own minibus, to enable trips out.

The care provided
Care and support is provided 24 hours a day, though people may continue to attend their usual day activities if they wish. Stays can range from one night to longer periods.

Some people may wish to come simply to relax, while others may wish to take part in more activities and outings, which will be arranged whenever possible.
