Redwoods provides day services for 16 people – this can be on a full time or part time basis. People using the service decide how which activities to take part in and then use our day centre as a base for their activities.

The setting
Our day centre base has:
• A fully equipped kitchen with dining area
• An arts and crafts area
• A communal room
• Other rooms for small group or individual work

We also have a minibus, which is used for trips

Activities
Activities take place on-site and elsewhere, and include:
• Cooking
• Shopping
• Computer skills
• Life skills
• Learning to use public transport
• Art and craft
• Music
• College courses

Art and craft is a popular activity, and has resulted in several exhibitions of work in a number of settings, as well as producing a range of greeting cards and calendars.

We work in partnership with other organisations such as Real Jobs and the Borders College Skills Accreditation programme.
