The Redwoods Caring Foundation supports people with learning disabilities across Edinburgh and the Lothians.

At Redwoods we aim to totally accept people for who they are – to recognise everyone’s potential and to support them to accomplish their dreams. We have multiple facilities, each with a different purpose to help people in whatever way they need.

Purpose, beliefs & values

Our Purpose
Redwoods is established for the provision of care and support for those in need. This is as an expression of Christian faith in action. Primarily this will be care and support, in a variety of settings, for adults with Learning Disabilities, but may include any vulnerable group of people as the Directors see fit.

Our Mission is to demonstrate God’s heart of love and His care to people who are vulnerable, particularly as a result of learning disabilities.

Our vision is that, through God’s love, vulnerable people across Scotland will accomplish their dreams, reach their potential and live life to the fullest extent possible. As we expose people to the Father heart of God, their lives will be transformed and they will live life to the full. [John 10:10].
